Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
This policy explains what we collect when you use smileanchor.com, take the Chair Yield Assessment or become a client, and what we do with it.
Who we are
Smile Anchor is a trading name of Proxels Technologies Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 16329127). Our registered office is Suite C2, 4–6 Greatorex Street, London E1 5NF, United Kingdom.
If you have any questions, or want us to see, change or delete your details, email hello@smileanchor.com.
What we collect
When you take the Chair Yield Assessment
- your email address
- your first name and your practice’s name
- your answers about your practice, such as your role, how many dentists you have, your hours, collections, case values, goals, how you handle new inquiries, and your ad budget and timing
- the results we work out from those answers
We save your answers from the email step onward, so you can come back to your plan even if you don’t finish in one go.
When you visit the site
- how you found us: the link or ad you came from, or the site that sent you
- how you use the site, such as the pages you view and the buttons you click. We use PostHog for this. PostHog also records sessions on the site, a replay of how the page was scrolled and clicked, so we can see where the assessment is confusing. Once you give us your email in the assessment, that activity is linked to you.
When you book a call
Your name, email and the time you picked, sent to us by Cal.com, which runs our booking calendar.
When you contact us
Your name, email, the topic you picked and your message, along with the page you sent it from. We use them to reply to you, and we email you a copy of your message.
When someone shares a plan with you
If a colleague forwards their plan to you, they give us your name and email address (and any note they add) so we can send it. We use your details to send that one email, and we won’t email you again unless you ask.
When your practice becomes a client
- the contact details of the people we work with at your practice, and the details we need to set up and run your campaigns
- your billing details, such as your practice’s name, billing address and email. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card or bank details.
Patient information
We don’t ask for patient information in the assessment, and it isn’t meant for it. Once your practice is a client, our system handles inquiries from your prospective patients on your behalf. For that information your practice stays in charge, and we only use it to do the work set out in our agreement with you. It’s never used for our own marketing.
How we use it
- to show you your results and email you a copy of your plan
- to follow up with you about Smile Anchor, for example if you ask about working with us or book a call
- to deliver our service to clients, send invoices and take payments
- to see which parts of the site and assessment work, and where people get stuck, so we can improve them
- to see which ads and links bring people to us
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Under UK data protection law, we rely on our legitimate interest in running and improving our business and in replying to dental practices that have shown interest in our service. For anything you ask us to do, like sending your plan, we rely on your request. For clients, we rely on our contract with you, and we keep billing records because the law requires it.
Cookies
PostHog stores a small identifier in your browser so it can recognize a return visit. When you pay us, Stripe may also set cookies on its payment page to keep payments secure and prevent fraud. We don’t use advertising cookies on this site.
You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work.
Who helps us
We use a few trusted services to run Smile Anchor. They only handle your information so they can do that job for us:
- Vercel hosts the website
- Neon stores our database
- PostHog handles site analytics and session recordings
- Resend sends our emails
- Cal.com runs call booking
- Stripe takes payments and sends invoices
Your information is stored with these services, mostly in the United States. When it leaves the UK, it’s protected by the UK–US data bridge or by contract terms approved under UK law.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as we need them to follow up with you and run Smile Anchor, and you can ask us to delete them at any time. Billing records are the exception: UK law asks us to keep them for six years.
Your choices
- Emails: you can reply to any email we send and ask us to stop.
- Your information: you can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop us using it. Email hello@smileanchor.com and we’ll reply within a month.
- Complaints: if you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, email hello@smileanchor.com and we’ll look into it. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This site is for dental professionals. It isn’t meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top. For how we work with clients, see our Terms of Service.
